Call for Papers

Cremation and Burial Communication and Education 2016 invites submissions of academic and practical papers.

The goal of this year's event is to continue to bring together like-minded individuals and organisations to discuss important issues and developments in the death care industry.

The event will be of particular interest to representatives from cremation and burial authorities, whether local authority or private sector, in the UK or from elsewhere in the world, who wish to keep abreast of the latest developments affecting their services and facilities.

Case studies are sought which address issues in cremation, burial, and related topics. Two sessions have been allocated as part of the main sessions for oral presentations; posters will be presented during the refreshment and lunch breaks.

Submissions are encouraged from anyone with an interest in this field who would like to share their research and practice findings with delegates. We welcome submissions from scholars, students, social workers, health care workers, and other professionals within the death care industry. Cross-cultural, historical and comparative work is encouraged, which should be aimed at involving individuals engaged in the provision of cemetery and crematoria services.

Oral presentations should be approximately 20 minutes in duration and the presenter should be willing to participate in a short question and answer at the conclusion of the presentation.
