Being relatively new to the industry I have found the CBCE a great opportunity to network and learn at the same time. These events have been my own personal foundation in learning more about the business, whilst also inspiring me to explore new opportunities to share with future clients and colleagues. Everyone is very supportive and welcoming and this is an event I would encourage anyone to attend. Thank you to the CBCE team for organising a fantastic event.

I have always found the Joint Conference informative, enjoyable and a great opportunity to catch up with industry friends old and new. The 2023 Conference was no exception, we took a party of 8 from our company all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it.
The papers were excellent, educational and well delivered and the opportunity to mix with industry suppliers and colleagues both at the BBQ and formal dinner was much appreciated.
We look forward to supporting the event again at Blackpool in 2024

It was my first time attending the CBCE event this summer and I’m so glad I did. The venue was great; easy to get to and park, with 2 main accommodation options on site or just over the road. I found the trade stand area was full and varied so I enjoyed wandering around that and came away with product ideas for the funeral home that I’d not seen before. The speakers were interesting but most of all, there were such a broad range of people from right across the bereavement sector attending, it was such a great opportunity to catch up and talk face to face. Well organised, great evening event. The woman in bereavement business breakfast was a real bonus. I’ll be looking to go again.

The CBCE Conference is an excellent opportunity for everyone connected with the Bereavement Services Industry to ensure that are kept up to date with the latest technology, regulations and industry information. It is also a fantastic opportunity to share best practice, renew old friendships and also make new ones.

The CBCE has been an essential part of my career.
As well as the ability to meet all of the important suppliers, including cremator manufacturers, memorial suppliers and new entrants to the market, in one place. I have also found the networking and educational elements extremely useful. The CBCE, formally Joint Conference has always attracted the highest quality speakers, with many I’m sure seeing it as an opportunity to meet others within our industry, I know that the MOJ, DEFRA and the National Medical Examiner have always seen it as an important platform for them. But also the friends and contacts I have made over the years, have been vital in my own career progression. I am looking forward to attending this year’s advent in Blackpool and acknowledging 100 years of the FBCA’s involvement within the industry.

Working in the Burial and Cremation Sector where there have been so many changes and challenges over the past three years in particular and many more facing the sector in the next few years highlights the need now more than ever before to have access to the latest Bereavement Sector information and advice from experts in their fields. I have been attending the Annual CBCE event organised jointly by the Cremation Society of Great Britain and the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities for many years and have always been impressed with the topics covered and the quality of the presentations given.
CBCE 2024 which is to be held in Blackpool will be a very special event, not to be missed, as it marks the 150th Anniversary of the Cremation Society and the Centenary of the FBCA making for a perfect backdrop for networking with fellow professionals which is so important for the work that we do caring for the bereaved.

CBCE at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton in June 2023 was one of the best events we’ve attended. The range of subjects covered were varied and the papers were very informative, well put across by each of the speakers. The displays by the advertisers and sponsors were extremely interesting. We made new acquaintances and contacts and renewed friendship with seasoned exhibitors. Together with the field visit to Test Valley Crematorium the whole event was well worth visiting and made the long journey down very worthwhile.
